Have you ever wished you could live in Middle Earth, Narnia, or other fantasy worlds? With this chest, you can bring a hint of one of the great dwarven kingdoms such as Moria or Erebor to your home!
This chest is entirely constructed by hand, to my own design, from soft-maple and plywood, lined with a dark red velvet, and has a simple integrated locking mechanism.
Exterior dimensions: 44 cm long, 31 cm wide, 29 cm tall
Interior dimensions: 37.5cm long, 25 cm wide, 22 cm inches tall
I designed the patterns using inspiration from the Hobbit films and then carved them using hand chisels. The runes simply read "Khazad" which is from The Lord of the Rings books by J.R.R. Tolkien.
The trim on this chest isn't actually metal, but painted using a technique that makes it look like old, tarnished steel.
