The Celtic Cross originated in Ireland and Britain in the Early Middle Ages, and became a popular symbol of Irish culture and the Christian faith from the 9th through the 12th centuries. Ancient stone crosses can still be found across Ireland, Scotland, and some parts of England and France.
This cross is entirely carved by hand from linden wood, using a design that I modified, and stained in a deep brown.
It is made with a keyhole slot on the back for hanging the cross on the wall.
